Skywatch Friday - Brighton sky

We took a walk one evening last August and it was the most beautiful sky. This is very close to where we live.

  2. I think my mother used to call this sort of sky a mackeral (spelling?) sky. I trained as a teacher in Brighton.

  4. Very nice capture. I like the way you used the electricity post as the focal point of the photo. It's silhouette appearance gives a nice touch to the photo. Well done.

    Have a fantastic weekend.

  6. It's a very pretty sky. Love those clouds. The wires, the pole and the old church make for an interesting shot :) Thanks for visiting my blog.

  9. Thank you for lovely comments. And yes, I think this is a mackeral sky. Why? Do the clouds look like fish??

  10. Great photo- and I love that it's Brighton! I live in NY now but I know Brighton so well and Hove, Rustington and Worthing. Oh, and the Downs!

I'll have to add you to my blogroll and come back for more....I'm thrilled to be able to glimpse a place I have always been so fond of again!
I love the dog too- yours I guess! I have a lab- similiar colour but shorter hair. Is yours a retriever?

Happy Friday- and mine's up too.

  11. Only through skywatch and mainly a blogger called dewdrop do I know this is a mackeral sky. As a photographer I can safely say it's a beauty.

  14. Interesting photo. I would usually expect wires to interfere with sky shots but this works well!

Your header is fabulous. Just off to check out your dog blog.
